30s Cognac Glass won Silver Award  from A’ Design Award and Competition in 2018-2019 from Arts, Crafts and Ready-Made Design Award Category.

The 30s Cognac Glass by Saara Korppi is particularly designed for drinking cognac. It is free-blown in a Glass Studio. This makes every cognac glass individual. The glasses are made of recycled glass.

Cognac Glass is easy to grab and looks interesting from all angles. The shape of the glass reflects light from different angles adding extra enjoyment to drinking. The bottom of the cup has two inner-blown arches forming a special flattened shape. Due to the flattened shape of the cup, you can place the glass on the table as you wish resting on either of its sides.

The name and idea of the work celebrate the ageing of the artist. The design reflects the nuances of ageing and invokes the tradition of ageing cognac improving in quality.The recommended maximum allowable liquid level is halfway an inner arch when you hold a glass. The sections offer a perfect place to grab the glass and sniff the scent of the drink. Watch the reflections of the liquid from all angles. After drinking the cognac, you can put the glass on the table on either side. The glass can be washed in the dishwasher.
